That ACT extreme PP has WHOOPED MY *** more than a few times when stuck in traffic.

I've used 3 act clutches and they have not let me down. The price is right, but the pressure in the extreme plates is wicked. I, too have fought it in stop and go traffic and it stinks! The clutch I have now is a hybrid I bought from a friend when I was in a jam. The engagement point SUCKS, as does the pressure plate. Next clutch i'm trying something more along the lines of exedy or maybe even clutchnet.
well i had a stage 4 at first, i loved the way it engaged, but it did not last too long, it chewed through my motor mounts then the tranny
, but i have a stage three now, and after it broke it (like forever) i am very pleased, im sure there a better ones out there, this is just my experience

Well I put up this poll since I'm getting a Quaife ATB LSD soon. I figured I'd throw in a new clutch and lightweight flywheel as well. I loved my CM stage 2 on my old F22. Hmmm... Actually that clutch has less than 5K miles on it, I wonder if it (and the lightweight fly) will work with the H22.
The ACT extreme killed my entire clutch hydraulic system.
I must admit, I too ate through a tranny with my first 4-puck setup... Paired with a shitty act flywheel, it's amazing that flywheel didn't shatter!!! Man i wish I had those pics handy.....

I must be on borrowed time with mine then!

What's wrong with the ACT flywheel? It's just a conservatively shaved OEM one afterall.
ps, shaving 7lbs is NOT conservative!
Not only that, but the really high pedal pressure required for the ACT extreme just totally overloads the seals on your clutch's hydraulics, or so I think.

What's wrong with it? It's JUNK! First off, Honda reccomends *against* shaving of the oem flywheel, how ACT got away with it, I don't know. It was appealing paying 1/5th of the price of a aluminum or chromoly one, so I went with it. Well it did not take kindly to my driving style, and ended up with MAJOR stress cracks throughout the whole surface. It looked like it was ready to go anyday. That is wht I wanted to have the pics. The combo of my 4puck extreme and 6k launches(drops) killed it. I think it's in my garage, I will check tonight wile fixing the lude...

ACT stg II, fidanza aluminum flywheel.
flippin rocks; 6000 rpm clutch drops on the track, just grabs and GOES. flywheel is great too. not at all difficult to slip, nor a beotch like the extreme. . . . how many of the preludes are going to exceed the stg II's 280 lb/ft capability anyway?

ACT street disc only is in my TRANNY. w/ OEM Pressure Plate and a Fidanza flywheel....and also when I launched at 7k it grabs without a doubt. ( ON SLICKS )
I have no hard pedal and it grab as soon you ease off the clutch

Hope I don't need a new one.
