Default NSX from Tokyo Motorshow '03

Just thought I would share some of the pictures that I took of the NSX from the Tokyo Motorshow last week.

Thanks for sharing. Since you saw the HSC in person, what are your impressions (regarding the looks)? Do the "lines" flow well; does it look smaller/larger than you expected in person; does it look like we can rig-up those brakes to work on an NSX ; etc?

I remember seeing pictures of the Enzo and thought "this is the ugliest Ferrari ever" (not counting the Mondial, of course). Then I saw the Enzo in person and my opinion changed.

That is not a NSX.

Me too.

I thought crack cocaine had finally reached Maranello, Italy.

Thank god I was mistaken and it is actually gorgeous in real life.

Just read in CAR magazine and Autocar, 2 UK publications, that the new NSX will vary only slightly from the HSC. It will utilize a 360hp V6. So everyone hoping for a V8, V10 or V12 are out of luck unless Honda suddenly wants to showcase some detuned F1 engines in the new NSX

Unfortunatly, the day Honda puts a V8 into a high-production model will be the day Dodge decides to put a V6 in the Viper. Honda has never been solely about power though. They like a good, all-around car that handles well and performs in all aspects. I still think they could have added just a teeny weeny more power to it though.

Be careful...crow doesn't taste very good. Stranger things have happened. Besides, the NSX is far from a high production model.

I'm sorry but when I saw the HSC in person it was so sexy. The lines do flow but a little more than the NSX. It did seem a little larger than an NSX but I think that's because of the doors. Overall, I love the car. Of course, I took tons more pictures at the show of other cars too.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For example, I, for one, am not particularly enamored with hatchies. And comparatively speaking, aesthectically and in regards to engineering, even the HSC is much better.

[QUOTE=Ponyboy]Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. QUOTE]

very true.

but about the hatchies...
they are an oddity.. it really is kinda hard to say what makes them so damn
lovable, cuz yeah, they were designed for grocery getting, and at first glance they look like a big jelly bean.

I think its something subtle about their bodylines,
and of course, what you do with it, that makes them awsome.

but yeh... I should hope the HSC is engineered better..

Let me guess, that car will never make it to the U.S.

The front I like, the rear end I feel should have kept the NSX feel. It's like they tried to make it look like a Saleen or.. something. It's like the S2k it feels just a little bit unfinished. I wish there were some kind of wing or something on there... let's call it a spoiler or "proper aerofoil" so it's sounds better. I still wish it had one.
