MSD BTM: Basically an onboard timing managment system. it has a dial that you can turn your timing up, down, depending on the situations.

MSD6AL: An MAD ignition that works quite nicely, no real bells and whistles other than a "soft touch" rev limiter.

The Jackson Racing "little black box 'o Joy": damned if I can't remember what it's called. But basically its a computerized management system for the JRSC. I know a few people with them... ooooh, a lotta fun!

MSD BTM: $~250-300~
MSD 6AL: $170
Little black box: ? upwards from $500 maybe? Don't hold me to that. I've never priced one!

I was being realistic. If all goes well I'll be starting my career come December/January and I need to sell my old POS truck and get a new car. I'll probably finish everyhting I want to do to the lude this winter and get a new car in the summer.

A MKIV Supra TT or a 3rd gen RX7 are not new cars. Those are used cars. Get a new car man. Say a new M3.

Don't forget a Fuel pressure regulator. With all that oxygen flowing though your engine you'll need more gas mixture. Rich is always best, hey why don't you make a test pipe and have flames come out your exhaust.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I meant new to me, not necessarily off the showroom floor new. Plus I don't really like BMW's, there are far too many of them around here (even though I hardly ever see M3's). I'd rather have a car that I can beat on and still work on it myself. I don't feel like having to go in evert time the oil change light goes on to have the techs reset it for an ungodly amount of money. Plus the M3 is probably a little out of my price range for just getting out of grad school.

Ok, to set a couple things straight w/ the JRSC:

The 'black box' (aka Prelude EMS - engine management system) is included with all kits. Inside are the controls for the BTC (boost timing control) unit and JR's MAP Controller (basically increases drivability factor and lets you run lower baseline fuel pressures. Check JR's site for more info). You won't need any other ignition system...the stock one works perfectly fine. An adjustable fuel pressure regulator, as well as a high-flow fuel pump, are also included.

In addition to your gauge setup, try to get a good fuel pressure gauge as well, so you can set your correct baseline pressures.

For other JRSC-related questions, check out my site (in my sig).

NA.... to run turbo puts you in GT class with all the 911 Cup cars. a 944, turbo or not, has no chance with those.
