Diff. in d15 w/mpfi and d16??? help
ok I need to make a decision quick please help in anyway. I have a d15 with over 200k miles but runs very strong and dosent smoke. Ive been offerd a d16 from a crx si for $250, and in my search to make the swap complete I found a local MPFI set-up for $200, it has everything includoing a pm6...now my question is, is it even worth it to put the d16 in which has 150k miles and "worn seals" or should I just put the MPFI in, dosent it make it almost the same engine? I need to know quick cuz if a d15 with MPFI is close enough power wise then im just gonna do that.
I have personally never seen a dyno of a MPFI equipped Dx motor, and I'd love to. Everyone says they are close, but the butt dyno usually sucks IMO. Maybe someone has one.
there is like a 3hp difference between the mpfi on a d16 block and head over the d15 block/head.
unless it is the hf block and head...then you should just swap the whole motor
