Default My Teg

Need your opinions. First off... all the stickers are coming off. I've gotten most of the stickers off of the glass with a scraper, but how should I get off the stickers on the paint without ruining it? If I peel it there is still a lot of glue left. Also, I'm going to get rid of the clear tail lights probably and get the all red tails (stock 98+ teg tails I think they are?) Besides that I'm all ears to suggestions. Please try to keep the rice comments to a minimum, I'm getting rid of most of the ricey things

Can I get this adhesive remover at any hardware or auto store? or do I have to order it online? Yea, I wasn't planning on removing any of the kit/wing, just some of the other ricey things, like stickers and maybe change the exhaust. Anymore advice?

hahahah, yea I know. Like I said, changing the tails, changing the exhaust (probably) and getting rid of the stickers (including the honda symbol). I got the car like this. I was looking for a gsr and I saw if I payed a little more I could get a teg with a type-r engine, among other things, so lay off

I think what happened was the first owner wanted to convert a gsr to a jspec type-r (thus the honda symbols, jdm sides, jdm engine or so I thought...) then his funds fell short so he sold it and the next guy kinda riced it out with the tails, stickers, exhaust and what not.

cut the guy a break guys... he bought the car like that!

id say:
get a 98+ rear bumper, 98 all red taillights, get the optional rear addons.... and get a 98+ front with itr lip. Keep the itr wing and sideskirts, remove all the stickers and emblems... rims aint that bad so you could stick with those and viola... you have a clean *** ride

wow, a constructive response I can live with the body kit, lip and what not, although I may change the rear, but in the spring I'm going to repaint it (possibly black) so I'm gonna hold off on that. You read my mind on the taillights, I'm gonna sell my alts to some ricer (plenty around here) and put the reds on, or maybe I can trade it, who knows. Stickers will be off by tommorrow, the emblem I gotta get a heat gun to get off, I may just find some regular acura emblems at a junk yard and slap em on, or leave em blank not sure yet. If I paint my car black I'll get some nice Konigs in the spring, but at least for the winter my Motegei's will stay. Thanks for the response

Wow, you have a 90's front bumper that doesn't line up right and the paint doesn't match. The wheels suck and your taillights suck, but hey...nice car.

Yes, I agree the tailights suck... The wheels really aren't bad, I can live with them. As far as the paint... I'm not sure what pics you are looking at, but the paint isn't 2 different colors from what I know of. I took off all the stickers today, it took longer than I thought. The emblem is gonna be fun to take off

white tegs rule. enoufh said

i like the side markers on the fenders and the front end. I also considered white wheels on my car but went with black instead to be more low key. but it turned out i get even more attentoin with the black rotas. go figure.

These are great project cars, so have fun with it. Im sure if it looked like a stock 2001 teg, you'd mess with it. we all would. g/l
