Some of us were watching from the tower when that happened.
Between that and Evans almost losing it in T3, it was exciting to say the least.

wow Peter! you and your car were definitely boning out on that Toyota C sports racer (or whatever it was)! i couldn't believe you hung with (and reeled in some in certain places) that full race car! and you were turning some R's; was that over 9k??? neato!
oh, and Corey -- i think you were fortunate not to flip over; looked like you were heading for the peagravel 90 degrees sideways at a fairly good clip!!!

I'll second that opinion... You were pretty lucky there Corey... watched it several times and got goose bumps.

I bet the guy in the sports racer glanced in his rear view thinking, "WHY is he still there!" Good stuff...most def. brightened up my day!

You were hauling some fairly serious *** out there on Sunday Peter. Entertaining as heck to watch from T5.
I too think Corey's luckyhe didn't land on his lid with that off. T1 kitty litter is NOT my first choice of a place to go off sideways.

Looks like you guys were moving along pretty good. Thanks for sharing the vid.
Corey,
**** man, that looked like a "moment" (from the video perspective at least). Hope there was no contact with the wall.
~edit~ LOL! Hold down the fast-forward button.

if anything it would be b18 bottom end and b16 head. b16 heads are better design than b18 heads accept type-r head which started out as b16 head

Yea, when I look at that, I realize how lucky I am.. The rule of course is to NOT go sideways into gravel, well, with barely any brakes, I figured I should turn the wheel and get the car sideways to scrub off some speed, maybe that wasn't a good Idea, but I didn't want to hit the wall either..
I think there are 2 things that kept me from flipping, if that would have been a civic, I would have been over, for sure..
1: the Tank has a very low center of gravity, and extremely wide
2: I had the throttle FLOORED as soon as I hit the gravel because:
A: I didn't want to get stuck
B: I didn't want the front wheels to "dig" into the gravel, seemed to work, car didnt' flip, and I didn't get stuck
The side of my car looks like it was hit with a course sandblaster now..
I couldn't continue because of rocks in my beads, wheels need to be repainted now
