how low to aftermarket crossmembers sit??
i was about to get place racing and heard they sit really low...i already have scrapping problems over speed bumps etc.
does jimbfab or z10 sit any higher??
does anyone have any bad experiences with aftermarket x members scraping? and if so how low are your cars?? thanks.

I haven't had much problems with my Z10. It does hang about 1-1.5" lower than stock, but I also don't have my car lowered a whole lot...2" max. The one problem that I did run into is that I can no longer use the crossmember as a jack point. The tubular bars aren't strong enough to support the weight of the car I guess. So instead I have to use a 2x4 in between the crossmember and the jack to distribute the weight load. I'm not sure if others have this problem with the other brands.
how low is your car?? i'm at about 1.5 right now but am planning on around 1.8 by christmas..i know thats not a huge jump but i already scrape a little here and there...
and of course, aftermarket is sometimes better than OEM or at least should be, i'm concerned if i hit it hard and having it snap...i know the new place racing design is reinforced and much stronger than the first batch but still??
