Hesitation / Fuel system problem? (descriptive post)
I have a LS/VTEC with ITR head. Which has nothing to do with this problem I believe.
My car has been hesitating and sputtering when I floor it, but it is fine if I "ease" into the gas and slowly gradually increase the throttle, it is fine. The catch is this: the problem is very INCONSISTENT. I could take it out on a Tuesday and have it act fine and never have any hesitations or sputtering, but then on Wednesday, forget about it, sputter sputter sputter. It might go two or three days in a row and be fine and then go another two or three days in a row and hesitate.
At the beginning of this summer I decided to sell this car to save for a house, the problem occurred in June right when I decided to sell. So I haven't been able to get on with my life and sell this car. I've just been driving my secondary P.O.S. protege and just doing the little things mentioned below on and off to try to fix it when I've had time.
I figure this is a problem with fuel delivery.
To attempt to fix this problem, I've tried some things:
-I've changed the fuel filter
-spent way too much $$ on off-the-shelf fuel injector and fuel system cleaners
-taken my car to a speed-shop where they said I had low oil and then charged me for oil and said that the car is fine. When I had this done I had to set up an appointment and by the time they got my car in, it was during a time period when my car was acting fine, remember this problem is very inconsistent.
A knowledgeable source has informed me to have the fuel system professionally cleaned at a shop before taking any further steps.
Please help with any ideas/suggestions/comments/recommendations.
here's the car

Hopefully it works. It's a free server, so it limits bandwith per 24 hours I believe. so morning people might be the only ones that get the privilege of seeing my car.
thanks, guys.

check and make sure all your grounds are secure and clean. i was having the exact same problem and found that the ground on the back of the block was loose. i tightened it up and have had no problems for over a year now.

whateveryone says, loose 10mm ground screw near thermostat housing, and also check that the rotor screw inside the distrbutor is not loosened.

maybe it is just this particular all motor forum, but Honda-tech is the best car forum I've seen in my 7 years of being on the Internet.
can't thank you guys enough for the suggestions, you guys have typed up some meaningful useful suggestions instead of just pointing out my rookie nature.
It seems like all the rice-boys and wannabes with no cash and no car know better than to sign up on this site and spam it with moronic arguments and false claims.
I'm going to see about solving this problem now when I get time and get back on here and update people; hopefully with a success story. Perhaps I'll decide to keep the car, who knows...
