Well after blowing yet another motor in my 93 civic i decided its time to retire it and move on to a different car. i was lookin gi te local classsfieds last night and found a 89 crx hf, VERYYYY cheap just needs a motor and some body panels but i got a 91 crx si parts car so i can make one car out of the 2. Im gonan be slapping a d16a6 with si trany in it and mayeb a cam i/h/e and call it good just something to make a fun little daily driver. And for soem tech, whats a 89 hf weigh in at anyways?

Ya im very familiar with these cars, its my 4th crx ive owned and ive also onwed a turbo/d16z6 EF civic, i just love these tiny crx's should be a fun project.

 

89 hf weighs in at a little under 2000 pounds i think. between 1900-2100 for sure

 

i believe the 88-89 hf's weigh---1,880lbs. and the 90-91 hf's weigh---1,980lbs
factory weight.

USDM 4G VTEC is one of the more hardcore EFer's on here.....he'll also probably talk you in to a mini-me. j/k lol

You would regret it man, keep it! I bought a DSM and i thought i could get out of teh honda scene but after driving that for a week iknew i had to be back in a honda.

 

i had sold my last crix to my friend for 800 billz and bought a ef hatch but after about 3 months i started to miss tha crix its tha best car honda made. but tha funniest thing happened he works at a repair shop and some older lady brought in her crix for some fixin and i guess they ran tha bill up on her so she was ready to sell it and he got her number for me. i called her up and she tells me im gonna sell it cheaper now because it doesnt run. so i ran over and was able to pick it up for 500 billz. i changed tha dizzy and went home, i bet she was pissed. LOL. 88 hf 40mpg i love it

 

LOl, 4G USDM has helped me out alot in the past also. My ED9/D16z6 chassis flippn ROCKS!!! I can't wait to slap a turbo and a LSD in it. EF 4 LIFE
