Default Rebuilding a JDM H22. What all should I change??

Well, I am rebuilding a JDM H22. I was wondering what all I should replace on it??

The guy rebuilding it wants me to bring him all the parts. I was thinking replacing the water pump, timing belt, piston rings, rod and crank bearings. I am replacing only with oem parts.

What else should I do while it is apart?? Should i have the pistons treated/machined??

Where is the best place to buy the parts???

Also, how do I get the block to look new again??? Might as well touch it up while it is out.

Thanks

sounds like you got most of it covered, unless you can find some type-s pistons to throw in there. As far as prices for oem stuff the cheapest place i have found it http://www.hparts.com if you know the part numbers. If you have a helms you should just rebuild it yourself, its really quite easy to do. Also while your at it you might as well swap out the auto tensioner to manual

- All belts
- Pistons
- Rods
- Rings
- Head Gasket and seals (esp. valve seals)
- Rod and Main Bearings
- Thrust Bearing
- Crank Seals

Maybe a few other things, but that's the jist of it for now.

A few things really depend on the mileage of the motor; if it was quoted at about 30k, say it was 60-70k. The pistons and rods may not NEED to be replaced, but if I were building this thing to hold any decent amount of HP, then I'd replace them anyways just to make sure I know EXACTLY what all went into the motor.
