Default Rushed question... CRX or del Sol VTEC radiator?

I basically f*cked up my radiator last night... it's got a 3-inch crack along the top of it, so I'm thinking I need a new one.

I got quoted $160 for a new stock CRX replacement (Modine, 5 year warranty) or $210 for a new del Sol VTEC replacement (Modine, 5 year warranty). What do you guys think? How much extra work is it to drop in the VTEC radiator?

I belive you would have to add a upper radiator support in order to fit a del sol radiator, and maybe 1 more lower support, but im not 100% sure on this....
can anyone second this????

Well, doesn't the del sol have a half-width dual core? Full width on the CRX/Civic is what I run with plenty of cooling.....

I was told by an acquaintance that the del Sol VTEC core is slightly too tall for a stock CR-X hood, but I can't confirm that. However, on my B16 in 100degree heat and high humidity, the fan only turns on after idling for a while, and then turns back off. Basically, cooling is plenty on a new stock CR-X radiator.

i belive the only difference is that the crx goes all the way across and is single core, the 92+civics and del sol's have some that are half the length of ours but is a dual core so its fatter...

Yea, what I was saying. When I had turbo I put 92-92 Civ. half width double core radiator in car and had to cut relief on the underhood metal in order to get space for radiator cap. Got rid of that and have full width type with b16a now that works great even with a dorky fan....

A 90-93 Integra fits perfectly. It's a full length dual core radiator. Only $135 from http://www.radiator.com. Free next day delivery too.

Whoa, that sounds awesome... do you run this combo yourself?

Oh... and do you have to switch the CRX fan over to something different? Tanks

Yeah, I have it in my CRX with B16A. No problems at all and it drops right in. You can use the stock fan.
