anyone know of any online step by step help? for a 98 gs, thanks

is draining and flushing the same thing? because i thought they use a machine in the shops?

flushing is for automatics.
and no, they are not the same.

you will need a machine to flush out an automagic. take it to a place like jiffy lube, it's about 70$ which is about how much it would cost if you drain, fill drain, fill an automatic on your own till the fluid is clean.... at least that is how it was on my maxima.
