Did you have to adjust it often.. I had a nuespeed on back in the day and after a while it would feel loose and chanky...

since the H22 has cable shifter you can only use a adapter plate that shortens the throw about 30%. In my opinon there garbage but from a few friends have used DC sports are pretty reliable

I've been running the DC for over 2 years. It gets the job done, but I too do not like the fact of relying on a bracket and screws . But I have no complaints about it.

Nah for the accord shifter I am using. I really want to get the 4bidden one that shortens the throws and the height but he cant garuntee me its going to fit along
with the stock components that over the shifter. I offered to be a guinea pig if I could return it if it doesnt work and he declined..

Not sure of the name of the company but they actualy make a short shifter that you replace your factory one with like you would do on a B series motor. I think its a japanes company and it goes for like $300 or so.

jason, the accord shifter and prelude shifters are almost identical.

buy the 4bidden shifter. the feel is much better then just an adapter.

you can do all accord, civic h22a swaps with the prelude or accord shifter and base. the linkage is exactly the same. if anything you may need to get a new base to use with the prelude shifter from 4bidden but those can be located at a salvage yard.

You know my I wanted to get the shifter but he replied that he wasnt sure about fitment after it is installed and I guess putting back the stock cover over it. I dont see any reason why it shouldnt still work espeically since it sits lower.. I am just going to order it anyways and be done with it and be the test dummy..

If anything I am sure someone else will take it off my hands..

I have the forbidden shifter in in my h22 civic. I love it. It feels so nice now. I thought the prelude shifter felt kinda long between shifts, so I bought the forbidden shifter.

As for the stock plastic cover fitting over it, well it didn't really change too much. If you put the shifter on the shorter settings, it changes the angle that the cable comes up from the brackets on the shift plate. It may hit or rub on the front of the plastic cover due to this. You may have to unbolt the plastic cover and slide it forward to accomidate for this. It really shouldn't be a problem. I never got my shifter cover to sit right anyways after I did the swap.

Good luck. You won't be dissapointed in the shifter.

Yeah i chopped the baJesus out of my shifter assembly to get the plastic to fit back over it. I also cut off a few of the rib things on the inside of the platic to get it all to clear. overall it looks good enough.
