OK I REALLY NEED TO KNOW WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON AROUND HERE
ok well last week i finished my y8 swap into my 91 dx hatchback. ran perfect the moment i started it up, no codes or anything. drove it all night and all the next day with no problem. then on the way home, it just went to poop and wouldnt run worth crap and threw a code 4. i checked all my wiring and it was perfect. so i figure my distributor is gone. i buy one off someone here on the resource, got it in the mail on tuesday. threw it in my car and it ran perfect again, all night and all the next day. now this morning im driving my car. stop at a stop sign, decide to do the 2nd gear vtec test (i havent even really gotten to mess with my new motor at all) so as im winding up in second when when i switch into 3rd my car makes this messed up stutter and noise AND THE CODES COME BACK. now it runs exactly like it did before the new distributor. i dont know what the hell is going on. someone please help.
could this be caused by a bad/incorrectly wired alternator or a bad battery? like i said it drove perfect without a glitch all day yesterday, then i just drove it this morning and BOOM!!!
Check your dizzy wiring and also the wires ran to he ecu what ecu are you running did you do the wiring yourself did you uget a converson harness ???? need more info my man
yeah i did the wiring myself, i stayed obd0 though. the code it is throwing is the TDC code and i had to run those wires from the ecu for the mpfi swap. i know for a fact though that all the wiring for that sensor and the rest of the distributor is perfect, so it has to be something else that is ruining distributors in one day. thanks.
