Well I got a lot of requests for pics. So here they are.

The two cars at hand.

CTR Headlights w/ Phillips 4300K and REAL OEM City Lights.

Phillips 4300K kit

Phillips 5000K kit inside of a GDM headlights. (Basically CTR lights for GTI's. Black housing instead of chrome)

Compare:

All by my lonesome

Well there you go. I suggested we get some light output shots after we ate dinner. Then I completley forgot. Sorry. Maybe soon. Hope you guys enjoy.

Yeah the 2nd to last picture they look really yellow. Maybe it was raining weather, city lights or just the angle. The last picture by myself is the closest to how they look normal. I can't get over how blueish my friends 5K kit is though. Bling!

Okay, I've got one more question. How are you going to pass inspection (if they have it wherever you are) with the single headlight beam (no hi-beam). Here they test both low and high beams. Are you going to try and pass the city light off as a low beam and the HID as the high beams??

If for whatever reason I would need to have my car re inspected I would just plug my stock bulbs back in. Only takes 30seconds.

Well sort-of. As I stated they are CTR housings which also do not have the shields.

Right...I know that the CTR lights don't hvae the little E looking thing on them, but do you have a cutoff shield for the HIDs?? (I hope I'm calling this by the right name, but the little thing that goes around the top edge of the bulb and gets the light cutoff right)

It's a kit with Xenon D2S (or D2R can't remember) bulbs w/ an H4 adapter plate.

Very cool man. One of my buddies from this board has some Phillips HIDs in his EK and I absolutely love them. His are a lot more blue looking, but I gotta tell you; after riding in a car with HIDs I may have to go get some.

I wonder if your lights look more yellowish in the pic with both cars because his 'bluer' HID's interfere with your HID's..

I like those city lights too.

I was thinking that as well becuase if you look at all the pics of both of our cars mine look yellowish, but then the one by myself at the end they look a lot whiter and natural.
