Mini-me in EF woes
Hi guys, I've just finish putting a mini-me in my 90 civic. I put the ignition to ON and everything seems fine, fuel pump pressurizes, battery at 12.** volts, etc.
When I try to crank it, there's a loud "bang" from the engine bay and then no power wathsoever, battery voltage drops to 6 volts and there no more juice for accessories and lights
I wiggle then harness and take out/put back the neg on the battery and the whole charade starts again. I check my fuses and there all ok, the problem happens again and again.
I figured it was either a bad short or ground
Apart for that, any ideas on what it could be. This car has to run before snow falls (which was yesterday here)
Thanks

I'm using a P28 with a Blown90hatch OBD-1 conversion kit and the cam timing has been checked about six times...
I didn't get the chance to set up ignition timing since the car hasn't been running but I put the distributor in as fairly conservative position so I don't think that it is it.

sounds like an electrical problem so the first thig I would do is check your grounds, and then check to see if there is anything shorting out somewhere...
