Default best intake manifold for a gsr

Like it says folks... Looking for a good intake manifold to produce more low to mid range power. Was looking at skunk 2 and edelbrock or type r... I know edelbrock gets added power in the higher end of things but don't know about the others.
Any personal experience to go along with the choicees would be great....

well lets c...for more low end power both the skunk2 and the JG will kill a lil low end but will have nice gains in the high end...i would not suggest the JG because it is really meant for all out motor apps or turbo..and only gains r in the ext. high end for all motor...if u just have simple bolt ons keep the stock mani until u get some doe to get everything that is needed for the skunk2...i feel in order to get the most gains out of the skunk2 u need the following:

at least ITR cams
ITR TB or equv.
obd1 ecu...go for a nice P28 chipped or
hondata s100 or 200
itr throttle cable..
itr style intake..aem, icebox, j's..etc

also i would check the fuel pressure with the new mani and other lil stuff...with all this new stuff u might notice a slight decrease in low end but u will have killer top end..
all these suggestions i have made i feel will compliment the new skunk2 mani very well...

Thanks for the info...
I currently am running:
generic intake
dc 2 piece stanless 4-2-1 headers
apexi ws exhaust
apexi vafc

I'd like to understand why you suggest the following:
obd1 ecu
itr thottle cable

The others I kinda understand... thanks again

you said "STOCK" ........ we all know that it is not stock. But it has to flow really well.

Simple cut out all the crap out of the gsr manifold and run 2 plates to make the plenum larger. Lots of porting but it works.

People around here get the Skunk2 intake manifold for their GSR's(b18c1) so their Vtec is LOUDER! sadd but true... But id have to agree on getting the Skunk2 intake manifold for a nice simple set-up like: Skunk2 Manifold, CTR Cams, Spoon Balanced ITR Pistons, STR Cam gears, and a JDM 4-1 Header..oh yea and if your running stock valvetrain get some ITR Outer Valve springs...and you can revv up to 9k.. oh yea correct me if im wrong on ne-thing

I doubt there is anything "simple" in Ericks manifold. Probably more time and effort in his IM than most people put into there entire setup

If you want low and midrange power, don't bother buying a new manifold

all those new manifold are not shaped properly for that head...
Only the stock IM or a custom IM would be best, although on a budget a SK2 or AEBS would be good on the street.

-edit-
A modified stock one will make more low end power than all those other ones. Victor X doens't make any lowend, the SK2 makes some, but not as much as stock, the AEBS will make more, but still if low end is where you're at, modified stock might be best.

You guys seem to be missing one option that gives you the best of both worlds....ported skunk2 manifold. I don't know who has and hasn't been to Endyn's website, but Larry ports Skunk2 manifolds like nobodys business Pics borrowed from http://www.theoldone.com

I believe when that Endyn manifold is finished, the have to put some coating on the inside (forgot what it was) because it was so thin that under vacuum it would actually start to cave in...atleast, this is something that I have heard in regards to that ported Endyn manifold. Still, it is a badass manifold, but kinda pricey

Damn, I thought I was the only one who thought about this. Do you have pics of the stock GSR manifold for comparison? What about dynos? I am very interested in this.
