I heard that 88-89 and 90-91 hatchs seat aren't interchangeable is that true?

 

they are interchangeable, crx seats will fit too

 

I have '95 hatch seats front and back in mine ('89 hatch), but they needed mods to bolt in, Honestly try a search, there are a multitude of options that have been discussed many times before that will get you a quicker answer, remember to search archives also.

 

CRX aren't a bolt in either..

I put the seats from my 1990 CRX-Si into my 1991 STD Hatch.. I ended up welding new brakets to the STD rails. The rails are completely different, as are the mount points on the seat buckets themselves..

 

If you want true "bolt-in" with no customization then only 88 Civic and 89 Civic seats will fit in an 89 Civic.

 

i cant be for sure, but a friend of mine has 90 prelude seats in his 90 STD hatch.. he says they bolted right in with no modifications at all... theres something to look into.

 

That's what I thought. 88-89 civic si seats are the only good looking seat to get.

Can anyone else confirm or deny this? Wondering if any other cars shares the seat bolt pattern with the 90-91 Civics.

 

but my car is a 88-89 what seats go into a 88-89 std?

the 88-91 prelude seats are NOT a direct bolt in. i had to drill new holes and make some mounts for the rear of my prelude seats when i put them into my 89 hatch.

 

88-89 civic seats are different from 90-91 civic seats. these are also different from the CRX seats. 88 CRX and 89 CRX HF are all the same. 89-91 CRX seats are all the same. i am pretty sure that all of these groups have slight differences, but nothing majorly different.

Wrong, i bought some 90 CRX Si seats and they didn't bolt right in
