Default found a 90 model civic in Korea with factory 4 wheel drive!!!RSI limited

I'm not a Honda guy but I do have respect for good cars. Anyway, stationed in Korea has some really cool perks. Mainly seeing cars you will NEVER see in North America. Unfortunately yesterday I saw a early 90s model Civic like the one posted below but didn't have my digi cam. On the side it said all-wheel drive and it was factory right-hand drive. I checked under the car and it was indeed all-wheel drive. The car had a badge that said RSI and Limited was under that. Sorry for no real pics but I WILL find it again. It's a pretty small base.

Here's a pic that just resembles the basic shape of the civc but is not the real one. Pics just make more people click on the link

Here's the link to my imagestation album dedicated to cars I find over here...

P.S. VWs are better

You need to buy that ****...diassemble the drivetrain/4wd system/suspension...box it up. When it comes time to ship out, the military moves your stuff for free.
I know growing up in the military they had a weight limit on what you had to have moved but we always came several hundred(sometimes even 1k) lbs under the limit.

the cars are left-hand drive in Korea and they drive just like us. However Japan is only "across the pond" so it's very common to see Japanese cars over here. This is why I've seen a skyline, silvia, and a handful of other japanese cars. The honda was a treat though because I had no idea they made such a beast. I mean could you imagine a turboed b18 in this thing. It would destroy GSXs! You wait and see...I'll get the pictures!!!

Please do... I'd love to see that civic. When I went there in like 90 something I never saw any right hand drive cars.... did they start doing this recently?

Woah there sparky...getting a little ahead of yourself.

The trick to the older Honda 4wd systems is the transfer case attached to that very specific tranny. A D-series tranny. That tranny makes the whole rear work...without it it's just another fwd Civic. A D-series tranny does NOT mate to a B-series motor.

That drivetrain could bolt up to a dohc ZC or a sohc vtec for a nice little boost in power but no GS-R transplants are in it's future. And don't think I haven't thought of the CRV 4wd drivetrain...way too much fabrication and welding for even the experienced home mechanic

you are forgetting that the honda AWD system is not meant for performance, but wet road traction. give it any power and you will break stuff. have you seen the rear axles on a CR-V? they are sickly skinny.

This is exactly why I said this: "I'm not a Honda guy..." in my VERY first paragraph. Basically I'm only trying to point out that this car EXIST.

Pics soon when I find the car again...

haha, my mom drives a crv, and I can vouch that they do have very tiny rear axles, probably about an inch in diameter. It is by no means a true 4x4.

no you don't. I don't get to have a car here because I'm really low on the rank scale plus I'm 8000 miles from my wife for 1 year!
