Down with passive belts
Looking to convert the passive belts on my 91' sedan to the '89 style manual ones.
Does the plastic for the pillar swap over and is welding in the threaded bung for the upper mount easily done?
sick of being choked,
k.

YEA, IM WITH YOU. there was a site on it not too long ago. the process involves threading holes that are already there. i have an 88 sedan too so i can rip the apart to get any pictures u need.

All the holes are NOT there I went through and looked when I had my 91 torn apart the 2 obvious ones would be the floor ones where the clip mounts to those would go where the large plastic screws go through your carpet and same goes on the passenger side outside rail there is another one there but there arent any holes where you would mount it to your pillar you would have to make something for those holes.

So the manual belts bolt to the floor rather than the seat?
Then the shopping list looks to be:
- belt assembly with retractor from pillar
- floor buckle
- plastic pillar panel to cover the gear
- Upper A pillar plastic to hide where the track was
- cut metal from pillar with the threaded hole and weld in place
sound complete?
