No, nobody can confirm the 2".
The thing is that the 7" or 8" (whichever you choose for various reasons) spring that comes with the kit sits on the adjustable perch. Now, if you have the perch set at its highest setting all the way at the top, it'll probably raise the car about 1/2".
If you have it all the way at the bottom, it'll probably drop the car right around 3". So you see, there's no SET DROP at all with Ground Controls or any other sleeve type coilover setup.
The only set drop you'll find is with a spring kit, like Eibach Sportlines or Neuspeed Sports - and even then, the drop isn't certain, due to weight of different motors, sagging of the springs, etc.
Hope that clears it up!

Choose a spring length that will give you the most flexability in ride height changes from the perch. For example, a 6" spring and an 8" spring could be set to the same ride height using the adjustable perch. However, there's only so high the 6" can go, and there's only so low the 8" will go.

Best thing to do is to CALL Ground Control.
Tell them what you are doing and they can tell you what springs to get. Sounds like maybe you've found some springs used?... and maybe off some other kind of car?
So far as how much the car will be lowered depends on not only the length of the springs but also the strength of the springs. (Spring rate)
If you had say a 200lb spring and a 900lb spring with the same amount of weight on them the lower rated spring would deflect more. (Compress more)
