PCV valve questions?`
Just had my best friend pick up the part from acura. I will tell you how it goes later on today or tomorrow. I doubt I will be able to post pics, but I will do my best at explaining where it is. The part cost me 11 bucks, wich is a discount price through acura.

Look under the runners in that area on the intake manifold. It is red (from the factory) and it'll have a hose atttached so it may be hard to find. Or was it black? I think red.

its not on top of the manifold, its under the manifold and is a bitch to get at in a gsr. I tore knuckles getting a cheap plastic replacement (bought at autozone) back in. the OEM is metal and is hard to see through all the hoses but sits in the oil separator box under the manifold just about under the 2nd intake runner.
I haven't heard of anybody's PCV Valve going bad ever. Yea its a big pain in the ***. My advice leave it alone. You'll spend two hours just trying to get the clips off the hose.

i gaurantee you would rather be save than sorry. change the PCV if its not working properly. PCV = positive crankcase ventilation.

your advice is not advisable since the PCV valve is there to keep the crankcase from filling up with blowby gasses. what this does is keeping moisture and explosive gasses from building up in the crankcase to prevent any chance of explosion. if your PCV valve is cloged, broken or stuck, i strongly advise you to change it as soon as possible.

So true, mine wouldnt even come off the damn hose, I ended up using a pair of pliers and smashing the valve in half and it came out nicely. Oh make sure you cover the hole under the manifold that the pcv valve came out of if you do this, when I smashed the valve a piece of it almost fell in there, man was I almost *hitting bricks....LOL........Good luck.
actually, i changed mine on my 95 GSR and its not actually on the intake manifold. its below it mounted on top of the oil separator box. Its a real pain in the *** with the dual runner manifold in place. Its doeable though since i got it done. when I put my skunk2 manifold in there is so much more room that i would be able to do it much easier now. i suggest that if you think it may be the culprit just change it. the aftermarket parts for it seem a bit cheap (plastic) compared to the metal oem one but its only a check valve and should be just fine. mine is a purolator and is working without a problem.

it shouldn't necessary to change anyway because they use the "oil seperator" box to keep it cleaner, etc.
