Default pls. help with b16 swap info!

I'm thinking about doing a B16A swap into a '88-'91 civic. I found a no name company called "Nu DEAL AUTOTRENDZ" thats is offering a B16A complete swap. It includes The motor, tranny (y1, s1, j1), ECU(PR3, PW0), Axels, shift linkage, stock motor mounts, alternator, starter, clutch, flywheel, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, fuel rail, injectors, distributer, engine harness, and all sensors needed. I know that I need special motor mounts, and '91-'93 integra axels. Is that all the basics? Wich tranny and ecu is best? What else do i need to do the swap? The company sounds questionable but it is in traveling distance from my house so i will pick up the motor myself to make sure it is all there. It comes with a warrenty on the head and block but nothing else. I'm new to all of this so any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

The s1 and j1 trans are very similar...very short geared. Y1 has LSD and longer gears. PWO and PR3 ecus are basically the same, more programs are available for the PR3.

Use search for the rest of the parts. There's a bunch a little thing you'll need (throttle cable, linkage, hoses, etc).

Good Luck-

Not all Y1's come with LSDs. YS1's with LSDs are probably more common.

You get what you pay for, definitely check it over completely for any visual defects, broke and/or missing parts, etc. Make sure that they at least offer a start up warranty since a motor could look fine but internally a different story.

you will need a mount kit hasport is good thats what i have in my rex. if you do get a y1 w/ lsd remember it is a electrionc speed sensor so you have to get one from a 90-93 teg also throttle cable go to hasport they have alot os good info for that swap i dont know how much you are paying for it but those sir 1 are pretty cheap so do some research i have a complete changeover sitting here from h motors online and they have good stuff i also have a set of the hasport mounts brand new a guy backed out of that swap at the last min. so i am stuck with all this stuff pm me if intersted

unless you have an si, you will also need a wiring harness, as the one included with the motor is for right hand drive vehicles. Try to stay away from the y1,unless youre going for turbo or something the will require taller gears. the s1 and j1, or even the ys1, which is your best bet because you can by replacement parts for it in the u.s. Synchros, and things of that nature. other than that, it sounds like you know eveything else needed to make it happen. Also try to get a pr3 if possible, as they are programmable and pw0's are not. If you get the shift linkages with the swap thats even better, otherwise youll have to purchase them with the mounts.
