i've had problem with my synchros on my ep3 and someone told me that putting the s2k synchros on a b series motor helped out and made there tranny somewhat more bullet proof. They then went on to say that i could use those synchros in my car or the dc5 tranny i wanted to find out if he was full of ****

I'm not sure about the EP3 Si in the States, but the EP3 R here in Japan and I believe as well as the European model, use the same tranny as the DC5R, which is triple syncros on 1st and 2nd gear and double syncros on 3rd-6th gears. So in reality, the DC5R and EP3R trannies are more bulletproof than the S2000 tranny. I am not real sure what the EP3 Si has stateside, since it also is only a 5 speed and not a six. I think the RSX Type S shares the same tranny as the R, but the gearing maybe slightly different.

In the U.S., the EP3 Honda Civic Si (2002+) has a 6-speed transmission.
The motor it comes with is a 160HP(flywheel hp) K20 (i donno what it is. k20a4? k20a3? i donno) It is a K-Series motor anyways.
Maybe the DC5-R or EP3 or US RSX-S synchros can fit on your K-series EP3 transmission.
That's a wild guess.. I'm not really sure. Good luck on your search.

ep3 is supposed to be triple coned in all the gears. I thought the jdm trannies were as well.

the s2000 is triple coned for all it's gears as well. the 2004 model gets carbon fiber triple cone synchros.

Actually the new S2k tranny is now only single coned because of the new carbon fiber synchros.

No the S2000 didn't and doesn't have triple cones in all gears. First and second have only double coned syncros and 3-6 have single syncros. All carbon. シンクロシステムは、1・2速はダブルタイプ、3・4・5 E6速にはシングルタイプのカーボンシンクロナイザー What that says is Syncro system 1 and 2 double type, 3,4,5 and 6 single type carbon syncronizer.

IF IT COMES UP AS CRAP, CHANGE YOUR ENCODING TO JAPANESE-AUTO SELECT!!!
