First off, any check engine lights? If not, then check your vacuum lines, check for vacuum leaks, check your distributor & ignition and all of the grounds (the symptons sounds like it's missing), and check to make sure your injectors are good and not clogged up.

jdm P13 are junk. get a usd p13 or a usdm P72 ecu... easiler to troubleshoot.

chrisCNL is right...JDM P13 ecu's are junk. Dont bother with them. You rather find a USDM p13, p28 or p72 ecu. Also you said your car wont hold idle, maybe you have your tps and map sensor plugs reversed. Check them.

but the jdm is a 32 bit instead of 16 bit, wouldnt it adapt better to mods? Plus doesnt if have a more agressive fuel map?

What the hell??

Maybe you can provide some helpful information if JDM P13's are "junk" and US P13 and P72 are "easier" to troubleshoot.

inJDMtegra -- make sure the MAP and TPS connectors are not backwards, check all vacuum lines like Newman has stated, and make sure you have all the right gaskets sealed.

Sounds to me like you have a vacuum leak, or TPS/MAP isn't getting the readings to properly idle (which is .47 volts at idle).

As for adding sensors, you just need to add the VTEC wires (like we were talking about on AIM a while ago), and you are pretty much done.

if you have any CEL's, check them and tell us what they are.

How about explaining what you mean by "Junk"... I think your just talkin' ****. It's a Honda ECU just like all the others. Actually.. it should be more agressive then a USDM one.

LOL.... I've heard it all. "JDM P13 ECUs are junk, compared to US P13 ECUs...."

There's no difference except for a slight better fuel curve (if any) on the JDM ECU, due to the higher compression motor and the higher octane fuel used in Japan, and the differences between the two ECUs are nothing more than just speed limiter and electronic load detector.

THANK YOU. I really wish i could some of these people in person sometimes.

Man.. the word on the street (amongst the ricers) in my town is that SOHC ZC's are FASTER then DOHC ZC's.

ok guys..problem stil isn't fixed...i heard that maybe my 02 sensor is at fault and that i should wire 4 new wires straight from the 02 to the ecu...i also heard that maybe the injectors are giving off to much fuel and causing it to run rich...any ideas guys or suggestions? should i just take out the harness and redo it all?

A continuity test with a little wire shaking should be good enough. Also make sure you wired the IAC properly aswell - it will cause the symptoms that you are saying..

Did you just stuff the motor in without doing any wiring? It's probably something simple.

Also... Have you read the codes yet? - if so.. what are they

give more info and people will be able to help ya.

i didn't install the motor...a really bad mechanic did...i didn't know the guy and i shouldn't have trust him and he did a bad job...so i'm trying to fix what he did...

i will check the IAC tomorrow to see...and i'm getting NO codes..which is the weird thing...and if i had the IAC wired wrong wouldn't it run wrong with BOTH computers not just the p13? regardless, i'll check it
