Default checking trouble codes for non-obd

I did a search and came up with a lot of different responses. If checked codes lots on obd1-2 but this is the first time I've checked a non obd. I got 1 short blink then 4 short blinks now that should be a code 14 but when I was searching people were saying they got 14 short blinks for 14 so is mine a code 4? The car only throws the code when its cold and hasn't been driven for a while it runs rough but if you turn the key off and restart it goes away. Thanks in advance.

the ecu will blink once to tell you its on...then u got a 4 blinks which is code four
if u get a long blink followed by 4 short blinks that is 14

Thanks for your reply it must be a 14 then one guy said that he had 14 short so it was confusing me, I thought it might be different from obd 1. Thanks again.
