Anybody have experience in this area? What are the recommended specs in thousandths on the intake and exhaust side?
Thanks for your help.

would like to have this 411 as well.

Not sure if it matters what cams but I think max is 0.030" valve to piston clearance.

Someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Use IN .007" and EX .008" for starters.

I don't think he's asking for valve lash.

Obviously claying is the only way to know what your clearances are for sure. I think what we are getting at is seeing whether or not this setup would be considered extreme enough to clay. If its been done a thousand times (and from the looks of the majority of setups on H-T it appears that way) then we may feel comfortable without having to clay.

And we are not talking about valve lash though I like mine at .006" and .007", intake and exhaust respectively.

<---------------acutally curious how many people out there running JUN 3 or bigger clay.

hmmm.....perhaps a poll is in order......

Minium 0.040/0.060" In/Ex p-v with good steel rods at your most aggressive cam settings.
