a6 head and a z6 bottom?
wanting to do a turbo setup in my rex and i have access to a newly bored and machined d16z6 block w/blockguard, all new honda bearings, crank, and oil pan, all i need is pistons and rods. would there be any problems bolting my d16a6 head to this block? Would i have to fill any oil holes or whatever like on a ls/vtec swap? also how about problems mating the z6 flywheel and clutch to the si tranny or the a6 flywheel and clutch to the z6 block/crank? would there be any problems? do you know of solutions?

u can just replace the vtec head with the non vtec one BUT WHY?!?!?!?!?!
but anyways yes u can use the Z6 clutch and flywheel they are intercheangeable as long as u have a 90+ parts

the reason I didn't want to use the z6 head is because I didn't want to mess with the vtec wiring. Is the wiring really that bad though? What ecu do you use to engage vtec? What ditrib? Injectors? will the a6 distrib and injectors work? can you point me to a good sight about the z6 swap. oh yea the rex is an 88 si. is that a problem with the flywheel/clutch? I do have access to the z6 head that goes with the block if i needed it. I also didn't want to mess with retarding timing for boost and all the fun tuning stuff that goes along with vtec and boost. the work/$ aspect of vtec seems to outweigh the horsepower gain.
