Default Street Tire pressure?

What is the best tire pressure to run on street tires? I have some 15 inch **** tires with 51 psi and want to lower my 1/4 time.

How much would it help on the 60ft? Last time I ran, I didnt even think of the tires and ran them probably at 45 psi. 60 ft was crap.

i cant remember and i through away my slips. your best bet is some slicks at about 10 psi but depending on your whp you might bog. i was using mt's with 10 psi and i revved it up to 6500 at the line and dropped the clutch and it took off pretty good, 2.02 60'

Are you sure the 44 isn't the max pressure cold? 44 seems pretty high to me.

Lowering tire pressure for racing is good for traction. Street tires are not really made to perform with low pressure. It's best to have the tire pressures to the car manufacturers spec for best tire wear and correct alignment angles.

51psi Christ! That's unreal. I run Azenis at 36/38 streets, 18/38 strip, 30/38 course. Try that. If you are on slicks you should be in the 1.XX region no excuses.
