stupid shipping question

i was just wondering how you guys calculate shipping rates, is there a website you can check quickly or do you just have to call purolator when they are open and get a quote?

http://www.ups.com has a calculator based on Zip code to and from & weight.

You can also use http://www.fedex.com or http://www.fedexfreight.fedex.com for motors and stuff. They both ship worldwide. Any more questions on shipping, importing, exporting let me know!
