I found a guy locally selling this. I have not seen it in person, but can anyone tell me what brand of bar it is based on these pics?
I tried this in the EG forum, and they said I should try here too. Fits a 92-95 hatch. Any ideas on the brand.

Any advice on how this would affect me for doing HPDE's and autocrosses in the future?
Also, if its a cusco painted I would have questions on its past. Hmm...

its NOT an Autopower.
I dont care much for the design of this rollbar too much , and you would need to add a harness bar in there before I'd get in the car as an instructor.
or run OEM 3 point seatbelts.
if its a Cusco it will be powdercoated blue under that apparently shitty spray bomb job.
I could be wrong though , who knows.

He is selling it got pretty cheap, and I was planning on adding in a harness bar for when I would use harnesses.
Just something to start out with and make me feel a bit safer. For the price I can resell it easily and not lose any money.

dont waste your time. its not worth the risk.
Just get an autopower. They are very inexpensive for what you get, and there will be no doubt of its origins or quality.

I agree. I'm not going to throw something into my car that I don't know about. I am going to check it out in person hopefully and then decide. If it isn't a custom bar then I should be able to find some markings as to where it came from.
For $100 I think its probably not going to be what I hope it is.

Not really. It has a diagonal on the rear supports, not on the main hoop.

hey, very sorry about posting as RJ told me Jegs does not make roll bars, sorry I just got my info from http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...20063
Sorry for the mess up

That looks like an autopower.
Jeg's "safety gear" section on their website:
http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/nc...r=361
No rollbars.
[edit] Looks like they sell drag-only kits. Still nothing you'd want to put in a track car, and certainly nothing for honda civics.

It's a Trash Brand rollbar.
I don't like that "endlessly long sleeve" design on the rear-facing bars, and I don't like that the diagonal starts at the *passenger side* at the top. As others have mentioned, there's also no harness bar/horizontal crossbrace. This thing's not legal for any sort of Solo 1 type of activity, and as a result is not legal for Solo 2 either from what I understand.
All that said, it might add to your safety in the event of a rollover, but not by much. Run away.
