Auto Trans stiff

I have a 91 honda and the shifter is very stiff when you try to shift from park to any other gear.
I have not checke dbut maybe it is the motor mounts?

I'd rather believe the shift cable is sticking.

Can they be lubricated? Or do you just replace them?
