200+whp and somg legal at the same time?

It would have been no problem before oct 1'st.
Now in CA we have that smog II **** everywhere so you have to put your car on the dyno roller ****.
They now test it under load at 15MPH and 25MPH.
My mr2 FAILED smog with only the PRIMARY CAT (mr2's came with 2 intially) and this was with a brand new PRIMARY CAT. No doubt smog II is harder to pass. Put 2 cats on your car like I did to pass

Yes the max HC and CO's are now lower.

i beleive turbo built a gsr that made 200whp and still passed smog....as long as the engine is the same year as the car or newer.....you can get away with a jdm itr manifold, tb, and exhaust manifold....pistons and cams shouldnt be a problem as long as its tuned right with a cat.
