So if you think your eligible you might want to personally ask Javier if he is going to allow you to run the class even though you meet all class criteria... ESPECIALLY if your not a RWD Rotary

dont you think that is kinda rediculas? what ever "the man" says goes.... even though u might be legal for competition in a sactioning body for a specific class.

Anyway, try to go to Surv Series and you'll do great int he power 6 class. I think sometimes there are stringent rules about a "Pro" car whereas a few weeks ago at NHRA you were considered a "Pro" car ... just let it go and dont let it get to you, go whoop some *** and don't pay Javier any mind, you just go race.

What exactly happened?!?

 

Rules can always be twisted by officials depending on different circumstances. For example our car got booted out when the owner's son of etown told us we can run 11.8 or slower without a cage and he wouldn't have a problem with it. What happened Tim? You might as well bring the actual sitaution out to the public.

This was the original post I made but edited it but... here goes... I still modified it to keep it a little more proffessional

If any of you are planning on "attempting" to run the Pro Import "Run What you Brung" 11.99 and quicker bracket class... be prepard to be told that your car is not a "Pro Import" and are uneligible for the class even though you meet the only requirement of running 11.99 or quicker.

This past weekend myself and 3 other racers where told not at the gate, not while at tech, no in the pits, but 10minutes before we are supposed to run while waiting in the staging lanes that we are not eligible for the class as we don't qualify as "Pro Imports" by Javier.

When I questioned him, I ask why not, on the webpage and also on the gate letter there were no "Rules" to running this class except running 11.99 and quicker and being and import.
His response was that I my car wasn't in the spirit of the class.

So my next question was is it because I am not a rotary, he says no, again I ask well why am I not eligible for the class... His response is that he makes the rules and what he says goes.

He also says that he doesn't have alot of events for these guys "The Rotaries... Oops I mean Pro Imports" and that I have 4 other Survival Series events and that it's not "Fair" to them. Why because I know how to run my car consistantly and they don't ??? But since 90% of the cars in the class run every single survival series just continues to show the bias and flat out bullshit involved.

Then if all this isn't enough he has to nerves to tell me that he is getting MAD that I am questioning his UNFAIR ruling.

But this is the kicker... the 4 cars he kicked out run, 11.1 DSM, 11.4 DSM, Me 11.7 and Turbo SI 11.8..... However he lets Brian Ballard run the class... and also Johny Ortiz, with his 11.5second accord, I guess because his car is a race car it's eligible ????? Not to mention the 4-5 rotaries that were also in the 11second zone where eligible.

Who did and this race was all bracket racing? Sucks they did that to you itsukivr6.

Tim I always thought that you and GTR had a lot of pull at englishtown. I am sorry to hear that Javier did that, but I guess either he had buddies that were running rotaries or maybe another reason. I would def. complain to etown but I doubt it will do anything. Sometimes they are real ****** over there.

I have so many things I could post about this. The main thing is that Tim flat out scared the hell out of everyone else in the class as they all know he can cut some lights and run mad consistent when he needs to.

I always believed this class was mainly for the rotary cars and the P.R. contingent as they do not get many events with a big payout as this was. I was going to come up if I was not under the gun to get this house ready to move into. I have raced this class before and always realized I was usually the only FWD car in it.

I would not be angry If I was told that I could not run the class if it was reserved for only RWD or rotary cars or P.R. cars. That is, as long as it said that in writing some where in the event advertising. I have that flyer, it states Pro import, 11.99 and quicker. That is all, If you meet that E.T. break then you should have been allowed to run.

The fact that You were told NO and Ballard and the other cars were allowed to continue to run in the class is disheartening. I feel for you Tim! I think Javier owes you a better explanation or at least an apology!

Sorry to hear the news Tim. You were screwed. Again, I think they were just scared of you. A strange way to show you respect.

theres nothing wrong with making a class for those guys. in all honesty they deserve it and some of them are real good bracket racers. BUT it should have been made a little more clear. i remember a couple years ago i think it was a nira event where they had an OLD SCHOOL bracket. the class basically just said that you needed a pre 1987 car. i cant remember why i got turned away, but after that they did state the car needed to be RWD and run 13.99 or quicker. i dont think its worth getting all bent out of shape about it tim just let it go, i did. lets just hope in the future these things are clarified better.

Yeah it was total B.S., the worst part is that we couldn't get a real explanation. Well, life goes on. to Brian XXX for taking the class. See all you guys at Survival Series #4.

 

That's messed up. If that happend to me, I would boycott all of Javier's main events. It's one thing to get turned away, it's another thing to get turned away without a good explanation.

 

Just got another lovely piece of information... when one of the people I know from the track asked Javier why I got kicked out of the class his response was "He KNOWS what he did" and walked away.... Are you ******* kidding me...

Javier... why don't you tell everyone exactly "What I did" that got me and 3 other people kicked out of the class.. Please I'd like to here this one...
