startup exhaust smoke
I have a 92 accord ex with 195k miles on it and everytime I start it up in the morning and some other times, it shoots greyish smoke out of the exhaust for a few seconds. I did a search and I couldn't find anyone having this problem. Is this normal?

Well every car spews out smoke when you first start it. It's because the motor is still cold and is not combusting correctly yet. After a couple minutes of warming up it shouldn't burn anymore white smoke, unless its really cold out.

the ice cold engine wont start with 14.7 A/F ratio, when you first fire it up cold in the morning, your a/f ratio is about 8:1(running rich)and the cooling system is trying hard to get the motor in operational temp.
it's all normal.

To bad we can't smell it firsthand to see for ourselves.
