IT2-spec ITA cars at the ARRC - Big New$
The decision has been made that, if there are fewer than three IT2-type cars in the ITS sprint race at the ARRC, the third-place sponsorship will be offered to the driver of the highest finishers in the ITA sprint race driving a car on the list at http://www.it2.evaluand.com/carspecs.php3
To be elible for IT2 support, entrants must meet the requirements spelled out at http://www.it2.evaluand.com/arrcnews.php3 and, given the lateness of this change, should contact Greg Amy (ITS Nissan #3) at the event for details.
The primary beneficiaries of this opportunity are likely to be the 2nd generation Acura Integras, forced to run heavy in ITA. If you know anyone running one of these cars at Atlanta this weekend, let them know about this chance to get some $$ support for making the trip - $150 in cash and product awards to the highest finisher, $100 for second, and $50 for third.

How does this work in legalese? Meaning, any ITA/ITS IT2 type car can finish out of the top 3 (6) in their respective classes and not go through impound yet win an IT2 offering. I am not punching holes in your thing here, just wondering if Greg A. will be doing an impromptu tech following these ARRC races for the top 3 IT2 finishers?
Good question, actually. It's decidedly low-key, as is appropriate to something that is really supposed to be about supporting people running IT2-type cars, so there won't be any tear down or other legalese stuff to deal with. We're going to assume that the protest system on which we rely at regionals will work things out if there are concerns. It's not like these are actual race winners contingency awards.

You have much more faith in man (or man's ability to not cheat in racing) then you often suggest
You aught to figure out a way to come down. My one experience says its a good show/time.
