Ok I got the phone call at 6:00 tonight. They told me I needed a tow truck to pick it up. I get to the scene. No cops No anything. The AAA tow truck wouldn't take it cuz the car was on it's side almost roof. Anyway I call the cops my local ones and tell them they need to tow it cuz it's a open police case and should be fingerprinted. They didn't even fingerprint it!! Anyway it was a dark area in a industrial park behind the building in a 50x50 grass field. While back there two men in a Dodge caravan or chevy venture came driving back there didn't c me and my friend till it was too late. They turned around and drove away quickly. Listen I really think they were coming back for the dash, wheels, radiator, taillights. Everything else is GONE. whole b18c swap, ecu, headlights. That's it. And they always say the theives come back to the scene of the crime. Well I got their licence plate number right away and reported it to the police. I have it memorized and would really like to know if the van is local. If ANYONE could help me with location of this vehicle or could at least tell me what town it's driver is registered too would be GREATLY appreciated. I do think this was definatly a local job and the basterds have been watching me or planning this. It was done quickly and right. Who knows it coulda been someone from here. ---If it was the owner of the sheet metal shop they woulda at least asked me what I was doing. They looked surprised to see us. Very.

I don't know how to find out anything from license plate, but I hope it was the thieves and you get your **** back, or at least get to kick their ***.

in RI all you have to do is go the registry and give them the info...they will tell you the owner of the car but wont give anymore than that...dont know about NJ though

I can say from personal expirence, if you do see the guys that ripped of your car don't do anything. Just report it and let the cops do the work. My car was jacked about a year and a half ago and I caught the guys that jacked my car. I saw them driving around in it and followed them home, call the cops and I felt that they were taking to long so I took matters into my own hands and beat the living hell out of them. As in both went to the hospital with major injuries, and I did that with my hands. I spen 3 months in jail and I am on probation until july of next year. Granted the other guys went to jail for a whole lot longer, but still I got put in jail for my car being jacked. Thats just my luck, let the cops handle it.

 

We'll c.. I live in a small town, if it was someone from around here I would want the cops to get them really no matter what. I don't want to unleash my anger on them cuz I might make a mistake I can never take back.

Another Burlington County theft. Where was it taken from? I live in Burlington County too and I'm really beginning to worry.

 

Most likely if these guys ripped your car, they used a dummy plate... my father buys cars alot and he has old NJ plates (blue ones) in our garage. When we buy a car and don't have it pre-registered, we throw these plates on and drive it home. The thieves could essentially be doing something similar. Just food for thought
