Default Official 5lug swap onto EP3: What fits and what doesnt?

Please make this a central thread for all the "what fits and what doesnt" instead of "dont waste your money" thread.

If I were to buy FULL DC5R suspension and brakes w/ wheels, will it fit directly on my USDM EP? From what it seems, it seems as if it would fit but a friend of mine told me otherwise?

I do not want to just upgrade to the later style EP 5lug (wanna be), I want to use the RSX/Integra chassis components for better braking and the 17" DC5R wheels.

Yes, if you buy the full suspension and brakes from the dc5 it will fit the ep3. I did it to my car 18 months ago and If I remember correctly, the only other part I needed was dc5 tie rod ends for the rack and pinion. Go for the DC5-R parts if you can afford it for the red Brembo front calipers.

I'll sticky this for a few days so as to help reduce reposts in the future...

Why not use the 04 Si's 5-lug? Wouldn't it be cheaper..albeit not being as good as the R's but still.

I have them on my EP3.

http://www.ephatch.com/forum/s...16619

To further the info in the above post.

You need the DCR-5 Front sway bar ! The DC5 Hubs insert 15mm ( I belive it's been a while) of positive offest. This increases that track of the car. With 45 offset rims they stick out too much. The DC5-R rims have an offset of 50. I am going to try them on my car this weeked. I still think they will stick out too much. We will see.

DC5-R rims = +60. That's why +45 rims stick out way too much.

Why are they crap? What is it that you personally do that overwhelms them?

I put Axxis Ultimate pads all the way around on my otherwise 'stock' EP3 brakes and the car stops great.

I will be honest, for the most part, I will do this swap for looks only. Another reason is because I want to interchange wheels from my DC2 to my EP3 to my DC2.

That's what it would ultimately come down to for me. If I were to do a 5-lug swap, it would be for better/optimal brake combo options. There seems to be a bigger/somewhat better selection for 5-lugs than for 4.

And better brake physics, you have an extra lug to spared the weight of the car stopping.
*where's that Sherlock pic now*

I don't know why honda just didn't make the EP3 5-Lug from the factory. They should have known better than to put 4-Lug on that car. Whats wrong with them?
