Default If you can answer this with good meaning I praise you.

My left front axle needs to be replaced. Here is my setup/ options:

88 ed9 chassis
88 dx manual 5 speed transmission
93 d16z6 engine w/ pm6 control.

options:
stock axle (BORING)
used axle (even more boring)
d16 integra axles w/ half-shaft (mmm I like the sound of that)

The doozey is this: Are the integra axles able to couple the differential/trans housing and half-shaft mount to block? I honestly think this is possible. I have yet to get a straight answer from anyone. If no one sheds light on my proposition I am going to go to the junkyard this weekend. And if you do, well there just may be a cookie in it for ya'!

Thanks in advance for the insight.

Even if you don't know, ideas, comments, concerns and corrections are appreciated.

Are you putting down a good amount of power? If not, Pep Boys has an excellent array of axels for you to choose from. Honestly, I don't know if it will work, but even if it does, and you get your parts from a junkyard, that's still gonna be used parts. So why not just get a cheap-o replacement?

Oh, and don't knock Pep Boys, their car people. Good luck!

the D16 Integra axles will fit, I have done it.
the only question is whether ot not the D16Z6 block has the holes drilled and tapped in the right location for the half shaft.
I know for a fact that the D16A6 does have the holes threaded for the half shaft and installation is a direct bolt on.
So get under the car and check to see if you have three threaded holes with nothing on them. I have a D16Y7 and it didn't have them.

Thank you brother. I thought so. I am good with the tap and die so I shouldn't run into any problems. I am soo excited! I am getting my chip burning setup within the month! Yippeee. LSD and struts and I will have one kick-*** beater!

I am almost positive only the A6 has the holes already tapped and the rest need to be tapped. If this works that would be sweet.

Haven't looked yet. It has been very busy at my work lately. I called the junkyard today. $30 for the pair of 88 integra axles and $30 for the half-shaft.
