Default what causes pressure leak in fuel rail?

STR fuel rail, stock LS injectors, B&M gauge. no fuel leaking from the filter or from the injectors... could an air leak cause a pressure drop? maybe my injectors are not fully inserted into the fuel rail. any suggestions?

Check all the O-Rings on the injectors, and make sure they are in good condition.

The FPR could be bleeding pressure back into the tank, or the one-way valve in the fuel pump could be allowing fuel back into the tank. Or you may have an external leak, in which case you should be able to smell fuel.

sorry to bring this back from the dead, but what exactly causes the fpr to do this? (stock) or the pump? does that mean it just needs to be replaced...any way to check this problem? cause i think im loosin pressure or somethin when my cars off. cause after sittin over night or for like two hours without being on. it wont start first try.. always dies, but then starts up fine second time like clockwork. ive gotten help and narrowed it down to one of these culprits. thanks guys

****the same exact thing is happening to me. i cant lower my pressure to what it should be at with my toda cams because i run leaner and the pressure isnt holding. my trap speeds drop big time when i run around 30 psi vaccuum on. i bring it up to 40 psi vaccuum on and so much better and no sputtering. i wanna tune my car, but am replacing my fuel system first.

my car also dies on the first startup too but not always***
