Default Just bought a 88 CRX Si. few questions.

88 CRX Si
132k
everything is stock to the radio.

Engine Temp Guage isn't working. Where would I find the Sensor to check?

Plans are B18/Turbo. Might just turbo the stock motor for a bit. How does Flat Black Primer sound with Some Bronze or Gold 15's 16's.....

Also, afew pictures.

My last car. 1989 Accord with 17's and GC's/Koni's. (Motor was Carbed) eventually got rid of it due to hitting a deer.

nice... beuty accord....

You shouldn't leave a car primed for any period of time because primer absorbs moisture... paint it flat black with some rattle cans

Why the hell would you ruin an excellent red paint job and crx by painting it flat black?!?

well, I like the idea of being a sleeper. I may just keep the stock paintjob and throw on some Bronze Rota's. Black would just give a better contrast.

I can see how that is attempting to be sleeper...but in my opinion a crx painted flat black looks too much like a sleeper, like you can see the attempt to look that way. Personally, a crx with that exact stock paint job you have on their would be more unsuspecting. Good luck either way.

NICE!

Soopa-clean car. Good Find!

By any chance, were those pics. taken in the Arrowhead ranch area? The area looks familiar and I moved from Phoenix to milwaukee 5 years ago. My second guess would be the Ahwatukee area. Good luck w/your new baby.

Oh, and lose those nasty mirror-strips!

Actually, i'm off Bell Rd In Surprise. Arrowhead mall is a 15 min drive on Bell. (Peoria)

I most definatly want to lose the bling bling. In all seriousness, I'm dumb in how to remove it. The front lip is not on properly. I need to take it off and put it back on with the hooks inserted into the bumper.

OR, Should I just jack it up and throw on some 22's NOT. Anyways Thanks for the compliments.

That's a much better idea. Don't throw your very nice 14 year old paint away to make the car look like it cost $30 at the junkyard, please! It will be more "sleeper" with stock paint and no body mods, just a set of rims. That will be perfect.

Gotta give love to the CHROME CRX side sticker
Funny how fads in the 80's fade.

B18 Turbo sounds like a NICE way to go fast, but Looking at how clean that car is , it's almost painful to think you'd hafta take a sledge hammer to it.

Human Resource, There's no way I'll use a sledge hammer. I will use hand tools and a set of gentle hands. it's going to be my baby. Even the GF will get jealous. waa hoo.

If you put in a b-series motor you will HAVE to take a sledge hammer to it so the altenator will fit in the engine bay!

I like the pillar mounted belts too. No holes in the fabric to deal with.

use a flare nut wrench to take that temp sensor out, or be real careful to not round the head off.
