Default JDM CONVERSION INSTALL

I got a quote from a body shop in so. cal to put on and paint my teg with a jdm converison and i was told $3500 for a color change from gray to black. It sounded a little steep jus wanted to see what others had paid for convresion installs and if there is anyone who knows of a place where i can get a better price than that lmk.
Thanks

Are you painting the whole car? Is this the HID or non HID conversion? Is the body shop having to supply any parts that you are missing?

So is the jdm front end bought by you or are you buying it from the shop and paying for the install and paint? If you bought it seperately, the install and paint should run you between 1000-4000 depending on the shop. Some shops are better than others.
ie. I had my car estimated a while back to get the whole thing painted, one shop gave me 1400 and another gave me 4500. Some shop will even hook it up with the install if you get your car painted.
I would ask around if I were you about the quality of the shop to see if it is worth it. I think the price you got is good, if you got it from a quality shop. I remember the shop that estimated 4500 had a good reputation and guranteed that the paint would be excellent for the lifetime of the car. So like if it ever faded or anything, then they would repaint it for free.
