H.I.D. highbeam?????
I'm sure there are people who have tried it....HOWEVER.
It isn't very healthy for your HID system if you do it. HID's aren't meant to be turned on and off with such frequency as you would when you use high-beams.
It takes an incredible amount of energy from the system to turn on an already hot system....about a thousand times as much. Doing this too many times and you'll fry it out.
Think about it, do you keep your high beams on for a long time? I don't. I have them on for a short time....see a car coming....turn them off.....then turn them on again when the car passes.
This rule also applies for your standard low-beam HID's. You shouldn't turn them on and off.
There is a post about it somewhere on here....I'll try to post it and find it.

Where I live there are lots of hills and curvy roads (foothills or carolinas) and I find that the lighting on an S2000 is not that great when you are going downhill into a turn or approaching a hill. There is absolutely no light above the "line" that the projector creates, and I dont want a deer running out infront of my car when I couldnt see it just a few yards beyond. I use highbeams a lot because of this, and thought that visibility would be AWESEOME with another HID bulb. Just incase I decide to change it out....what number bulb is the high beam????

I agree - there is a line where the light seems to just stop...
I'm not really sure HIDs in the highbeams would make a huge difference beyond the halogen?? bulbs in there now??

What about all the Acura 3.2TL's 99-03 and 3.5RL's 99-04 that have the HID lights flash with the alarm system. If its an alarm they will go for like 9-minutes or so. The new TL and TSX are the same...

I highly doubt it's the HID lights that are flashing. It's probably the high-beams, as most alarm systems flash.
All HID's operate off the same principle. Turning them on and off quickly is bad bad bad.
I tried finding the post but I couldn't locate it. It might be on http://www.s2ki.com also, but searching that place is hell.

ditto, the original poster is wrong. stock tl has the parking lights flash when using the alarm. I am pretty sure the same applies to the tsx and rl.
Turning your hids on and off is bad for the lighting system. Perhaps the only alternative, albeit an enpensive one is installing bi-xenon headlights, which can be found on the 2004 TL.
i kno i should know this, btu i dont, do the s2 come stock with hid, or the lights are just blue, i really have no idea. i really didnt focus on buying it because of that. (flames are welcome)

Yes, S2000's do come with HID's stock. No flames here....we all learn someplace, right?
