how is this done ? blk and wht and color

How do you get the background in black and white and the car for example in color? I've seen a couple of guys using this type of shot and it looks amazing.

Yes. Take the picture in color, and cut out the car with the lasso. Then black and white the background and paste the picture over.

You use Photoshop
- select the car with the lasso tool
- click select and then inverse on the top menu
- click image - adjustments - hue/saturation
- bring down the saturation to -100
