Default Dangers of being to low. Both of my ball joint boots are worn down.

I just changed back to my stock wheels and I was doing a little inspection of the suspension. Both of my steering rod ball joint boots are torn. I know they were fine when I dropped my car cause i checked them then for rips and they had none. Could this be from the design of the shock not being able to handle drop springs. I noticed that the after market coilovers like Tien, and K&W seem to have a short shock body which would lower the arm for the steering rod and maybe not cause this issue. Can anybody it me up with some knowledge about this? I would like to know if this will happen again if I fix it, cause it it will then I will try and save for a set of K&W or Tien, unless Koni, or Bilstien comes out with a direct replacement shock for the Ep. Any help would be great, cause the search engine didnt give me what I wanted.

I have had Tein ss on my Dc5 for about 8 months no tears at all but I have that strange sound on the passenger side that goes clunk and pop. The driver side is fine i check my suspension every 2 weeks makes sure all the bolts are tight and every things is right. Only problem i have had is that annoy ing pop and clunk sound front the passenger side. No joint boot rips and no signs of wore tie rods but I wonder maybe the tie rods are makeing the sounds ? Tonight imma try to some silicone spray to lube see if that helps

I thought the torn ball joints were from the extreme angles of the steering/tie rod ends. I know the Mugen suspension kit is the best and has lowered the mounting location to make up for a lowered vehicle. The tein suspension kits should also be slightly lower where the steering rod comes off the front strut. I know that http://www.rsx-tuners.com sells a bump steering kit to help with that. I also have heard that the JDM CTR or ITR has shorter tie rod ends to better compensate for a lowered vehicle.
Good Luck

Yeah----If you have an EP3 than it would be the CTR tie rod ends. Sorry for the brain fart
