how to verify ITR EXHAUST cam
I have an ITR exhaust cam to go with my ITR intake cam. I knew how to
verify the ITR cam by the engraved grooves.
How do I verify that this new cam I have is an ITR exhaust cam? I know how
the grooves on the ITR exhaust cam looks like, what I do not know how the
GSR grooves look like until I remove my GSR cam. I would like to make sure I
have the right cam before I open up my engine. Have pictures of a stock GSR
EXHAUST cam?
Thanks a lot! http://tiiite.b16a.com/VtecCams.htm

there is no way to verify stock exhaust cams by eye (to my knowlege). You'd have to get the lift/duration measured to be sure. There is an honor code amoung True enthusiasts, but then there are those ******** that are always looking to make a buck.
Also, you can tell if it's an ITR cam or not once you put it in your GSR. If it is a ITR exhaust cam (and you have the ITR intake cam) the motor will bog noticably at 4.4K (VTEC) until about 5K. It feels like someone turned the AC on exactly at 4.4K. If you only have a GSR exhaust cam with an ITR intake cam, it doesn't bog. HTH
