Tokico Illumnas vs. KYB AGX Shock Absorbers
well guys, i'm about to make a lil road trip up to inlinefour.com, and i'm gonna be picking up my springs and i need your opinions on what to pair up with the H&R Sport Springs i'm gonna be getting. The guy i talked to said KYB is a better shock, but Tokico has a better warranty, anyways the KYB AGX is cheaper, and i've just been plagued with "you get what you pay for" so should i cough up the extra money for tokico illumans or am i better off with KYB AGX?
hm...well i'm not much of a track racer (actually never gone before, but i want to), but i just wanna keep my ride comfortable, and then beable to change it if i ever do go to the track. Anyone else have any opinions/suggestions?
i have kybs but the rides a lil rough. my friend has illuminas and his rides a lil rougher than mine. but overall tho, kybs are pretty good for what you pay for
are you set on the softest setting and how big of a drop are you on? Are koni yellows worth the extra money? If that means i should wait for my next paycheck, to make sure my ride isn't rough then maybe i should do that.

i feel ya man. I saved for quite a bit of time to get enough for shocks/springs. Was gonna just get springs, but i didn't wanna get shocks later and pay for more labor. I wanna get it done all at once. Anyways 693 sounds kind of pricey. At inlinefour.com the KYB shocks are under 400 dollars for a set, and i'm sure you can find eibach springs for 199 somewhere else (since they don't sell eibach at inlinefour.com), that would almost save you 100 bucks! of course if you live in california there is tax, and then shipping is about 25 bucks or more.
As soon as i get 693 bucks..gonna go with kyb and eibach springs..damn car payments!
kikkoboyie, my RSX **** is great, it feels looks like a Type R ****, except a fraction of the price and OEM quality. It's hard to trick people i have a 6 speed since i have the 5 speed manual one (base rsx)
With Eibach Pro-kit springs, I set the fronts to 2 and the rears to 1. 4 is the stiffest setting.
The ride is very smooth. A little bit (mayb 20%) stiffer than stock.

anyone else think these numbers look good...2 in the front and 1.4 in the rear...this ride is close to stock but still not so bumpy...also do you get good dampening and rebound from these settings...i am looking for a good street setup as these shocks are going on my car friday and i need to know where to set them at
Wow..thanks for all the advice B-18C1, Carlex, and Break_1_9..I appreciate it..I got the price from a autoshop that had their work featured in a inport tuning magazine..But I'm gonna order the stuff online and have an aquaintance show me how to put them in... just scared about using a spring compresser..hehe I'm not too worried about getting the parts because even in stock form..love the integ..cause my old car was a camry..haha...
