Default All motor gurus, please help. Couple questions..

Here is my setup:

95 cx hatch
95 jdm gsr b18c
itr tranny
itr exaust piping into Greddy pe catback exaust
stock airbox
test pipe in place of cat

I am trying to squeeze a few extra HP from my stock motor. I have heard that on all motor cars, that when you advance the timing, you have to increase the fuel pressure, and that by doing that, you can gain a few extra hp. Also, are there any other little tips you guys (or gals) can offer to gain a few here or there on the stock gsr motor? Any help is REALLY appreciated!!!

Thanks a lot.

p.s. If the fuel pressure thing is true, what should I increase it to, and what is stock, for comparison. Thanks again.

i'm no guru, but advancing your time will only give you like 1-2hp tops. nothing even worth doing. if you want some hp, get some breathing mods.

Not worth doing? Running 18-19 degrees is free and worth the extra gains across the boards. Bumping up the fuel pressure is not "necessary".
