hey people, i just picked up a ZC VIS hood....
but it says 88 crx under the hood, and i have a 91!?
i don't have my car right now but whats that year for?
do i need any parts off my stock hood for this one? i don't see a latch thing under the hood? confused! thanks

hmm well you dont need the latch because you are supposed to use hood pins, are all crxs hoods interchangable 88-91 9(i dont know for sure i dont have one) well if you know they are which i think so then dont trip bout the year being there

88-91 hoods are the same and you use HOOD pins

i have a latch in mine. i'll check under the hood and see if it says anything for the year.
to put hood pins in you must drill through the hood, and headlight support. its a pain in the *** and if you mess up...well it ruins the look of your $500.00 hood.

I had a vis carbon fiber hood, and hood pins are not required, I have had it for over a year, with excessive speeds and high winds, and never has the hood flexed or blown off, or gave me any trouble.

no problems here either. i see if flapping alot by the windshield from the wind tunneling through, but thats the extent of it. Kinda makes me nervous somtimes but when i geot out and grab a hold to make sure its sturdy i know its not goin anywheres

with the VIS hood, you shouldn't need the hood pins, but it may be a smart idea to install them if you're into that kind of thing, for extra safety.And yes, the hoods are all the same 88-91

take the latch from your stock oem hood and put it on the vis carbon fiber hood
