i got a big *** roll of silicone couplers from roadraceengineering and im curious what do you guys use to cut these clean >?? razor doesnt work so well unles syou got accurate hands and eyes .. give some imput thanks

 

i think its the same stuff as the couplers we have for semi trucks here.. i put it in a vice right where im gonna cut it and then use a razor..

 

I used to use a cheap mitre box and a hacksaw...

the mitre box is basically a wood c chanel piece with slots across at diferent angles.. it holds the silicon, and makes sure the cut is straight

tighten a hose clamp on and use it as a guide to cut it with a razor.when you get to the part where you turn the bolt, just loosen it and rotate it a bit

i prefer a serrated bread knife

 

jigsaw works if you are cheap

 

I use my electric mitre saw, very fast, very clean, very safe!

 

Pinch it flat, and serrated pocket knife it to death, both layers at once. Worked great for me.

go to the kitchen find the biggest sharpest non serrated knife possible. use some silicone spray or wd 40 and use the knife just like a saw. You'll get a nice clean straight cut.

Chopsaw takes 2 seconds, usually have it out for making piping anyways.

 

What about a dremel?
